The Piano Duet Paradigm(R)
Transformational Music Therapy for Students with Special Needs

"You and your students take music off the keys and deliver it to a place that is none other than Love." Reverend Doug Small, Worthington, MA

Jessica Roemischer works with individuals with disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism and blindness. Jessica does not see disability - but rather the expressiveness a person reveals through the music they create. As well as offering private lessons, Jessica directs a unique music therapy program at Riverbrook Residence in Stockbridge, MA. Her innovative approach to piano duet improvisation--The Piano Duet Paradigm(R)--makes it possible for each person, regardless of his or her disability, to access the source of music within. Every day her students demonstrate that the ability to express themselves powerfully through music is unfettered by any physical, psychological or cognitive limitation.
